In honor of National Child Passenger Safety Week, I thought I would share my car seat story. Granted, the week is almost over but keeping children safe should be celebrated year round!
A few months ago, I was nearing the end of my pregnancy. My hormones were out of control, I ate everything that resembled food and, yet, the worst part was car seat shopping. Not only are there an unimaginable number of options, but I kept hearing horror stories about how hard they are to install correctly. I wanted to quit altogether until I realized that would leave me pulling a Britney-running errands while holding my child in my lap. Preferring to avoid a child services intervention, I pushed on through and kept searching for the right seat จำนำรถยนต์.
My next step was polling my friends but they all seemed to pledge loyalty to different brands-Graco, The First Year, Britax. The list went on. And each friend was adamant her choice was the best. One name did come up a few times, though-Albee Baby. Apparently, it’s an etailer with tons of baby products and a great selection of car seats. This helped me with the where to buy but I was still lost on the what to buy. I was so worried I would end up burning the car seat in a fit of rage because of how difficult it was to install.
Then, the answer to my prayers came. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, so I’ll refer to it by its nickname- NHTSA. On the website is a section dedicated to rating car seats’ ease of use. NHTSA focused on five aspects including labels, instructions, securing the child, installation features and the overall ease of use. It was a great way to get an objective review and narrow down my search.
I picked a seat and was pleased to find the installation was a breeze. NHTSA was spot on in its evaluation and my son, Jonathan, is riding safely in the car seat as opposed to my lap. I would share which product we chose but then readers would miss out on all the fun of car seat shopping!
